Thunder! There is hail, and I hear thunder! Come here, thunder, and give me a big ol' hug; I missed you...

Posted by: nick on April 27, 2004 08:23 PMQueen Anne must be objectively pro-Saddam. It is the only explanation.
Posted by: aloysius on April 27, 2004 09:31 PMSo, Kiro7 News says we had one tornado touch down near Shamamashimash County, a Funnel Cloud hover over I-90 and a Waterspout in lake Shakashish..inish.
Posted by: nick on April 27, 2004 11:12 PMHoly crap. I didn't know we got those in these parts! I haven't seen a good tornado in years...I have such fond memories of the one that ripped neighbouring houses to shreds when I was a wee lad on the corn-steppes of Iowa...Mainly, I have fond memories of the emergency pastry wagon that'd come round in the mornings 'til the power was on again.
I could really go for a pastry right now. Where are the tornadoes when I need them?
Posted by: aloysius on April 27, 2004 11:17 PMBlessed are the pastries, for they are sweet and excellent with either coffee or tea.
Posted by: clake on April 28, 2004 06:18 AMI've never seen one, or a waterspout, just gusts and gales. One giant lightning bolt and an inter-cloud level lightning storm (was flying into the Atlanta airport and our plane flew between two levels of storm clouds and they were striking lightning between themselves) but nothing really interesting. Ooh, I was in a 7pointer earthquake.
Posted by: nick on April 28, 2004 02:15 PMSpeaking of pastries, it is as Jesus said:
'Blessed are the piemakers, for they shall bake light pastries.'
