The Absence of Meaning

Ever since NaNoWriMo ended, I've been wondering what, exactly, I ought to do with this weblog, since I've already got MovableType installed and running, and all...It would be a shame to waste it. I still don't actually know. So instead of any sort of reasoned content, here are random pictures I've taken of Seattle.

Here is a boat.

Here is someone reading, under one of the many cherry trees in the Quadrangle at the University of Washington, which is not all that far from my office in Padelford. The cherry trees are all blossoming.

Here are more of the cherry trees, with some of the quite fetching Collegiate Gothic halls behind them. At least one of these buildings, I think, is Smith. On the far left is Miller, and on the far right is Gowen. Note the entertaining moss on the trunk of the tree.

Here am I, doing nothing in particular, underneath a cherry tree. I got flowers in my hair.

A Factgasm

Now, I'm no political guru, it's true, but it seems to me if one wanted to get a handle on the State of the Union right about now, a good place to start might be, for example, this Observer report that the US is spying on the UN Security Council for nuggets that would help the Administration browbeat them into giving their blessing to Bush's war in Iraq. Big Brother is indeed watching you. Especially if you speak Foreign.
